EFE Refuse Transfer Semitrailers

EFE REFUSE TRANSFER SEMITRAILER
Transfer semitrailers are used to tranport the refuse collected in the cities to disposal areas economically. One refuse transfer semitrailer can carry refuse collected by 6-10 hydraulic refuse packers.

BODY
Sides and bottom of the body are manufactured from st37-2 quality steel plates and. All the body is reinforced circumferentially with frames made from u sectioned members. There is a rail in the bottom center of the body for ejection plate.

TAILGATE
There is a tailgate closing rear end of the body made from st37-2 quality steel plates with a high quality specially formed rubber sealing element. Tailgate is opened upwards by means of two hydraulic cylinders and automatically locked when closed.

EJECTION-COMPRESSION PLATE
There is a compressing&ejection plate in the body moving longitudinally and compressing refuse loaded inside the body from front top to bacward and discharging from the rear end after opening the tailgate.
İt is compressing refuse loaded ifrom front top opening backwards by means of back and front movement of a single stage double acting hydraulic cylinder and discharging the refuse from the rear end after opening the tailgate by means of stepwise movement of the ejection plate there is no telescopic cylinder for this purpose.
There is a hydraulic power unit mounted on the ejection plate powered by seperate diesel engine with full hydraulic and electrical installation mounted on the same. Working principal is as following:

  • DURING COMPRESSION
    Single stage double acting hydraulic cylinder moves the compression plate bacwards to make it sweep and compress the refuse loaded inside the body from the front top opening there will not be slow action of similar purposed telescopic cylinder used by others ,instead there is fast and automatic back and fro movement of single stage double acting cylinder. Beside that , there is no negative effect of increase of the pressure in the telescopic cylinder during closing movement. Loading period is nearly 30 min in continious loading.

  • DURING DISCHARGING
    First tailgate is opened , then the ejection plate is moved backward till the end of the stroke of the main cylinder , and then , the hydraulic lock on the central rail of the front connection of the main cylinder is opened . While the cylinder is closed , front connection moves backward to the ejection plate to be locked at the end of the closed length of the main cylinder .and then , the same opening / closing action is made till the rear end of the body simultaneously . Total discharging time is nearly 5 min.

LOADING OPENING AND COVER
There is a loading opening in front top of the body with a hydraulically opening cover.

CHASSIS
There is a subframe under the body with axle and suspension , landing leg and 2" king pin according to DIN 74080 made from 42CrMo4 Steel.

AXLES
There are two axles with 2X13 ton capacity. There are brake drums with 420 X 200mm dimensions and 10 stud disc hubs with first class bearings.
There are brake linings with 420 X 200 dimensions according to norms and automatic slack adjusters.

SUSPENSIONS
There ıs a heavy duty suspension with N.4 leaf springs and balancers.

BRAKE INSTALLATION
There is a two line (service and emergency) air brake installation with Air connection couplings, automatic servo distributor, air tank and 30"x30" brake chambers.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
There is electrical installation according to traffic regulations with 7 pole socket, side lamps on both side, stop-signal-parking lamps on the rear , no plate lamps, reflectors and yellow rotating lamp on the body.

LANDING LEGS
There are telescopic landing legs with hydraulic operation.

HYDRAULIC INSTALLATION
There are a diesel engine, tandem gear pump mounted on the engine, an oil tank, two tailgate opening cylinders, one loading cover opening cylinder, one compression & ejection plate main cylinder, one main cylinder locking cylinder, two Landing leg hydraulic cylinders and electrohydraulically actuated valves. Control of the compression and discharging system is made by a remote control box manually. Tailgate, landing leg and top cover opening/closing is controlled by a manual three spool directional control valve.
